 Molecular systems in the real world, including biological systems, show their functions by synchronizing various molecular processes harmonically. This mechanism will be clarified by studying molecular systems that exhibit highly organized synchronized processes with the methodology of molecular science. We plan to investigate the structures and dynamics of supra functional systems in the gas phase by developing novel methodologies to understand the molecular functions in solution and biological systems from the viewpoint of elementary processes. This project (A01) will promote the development of new methods of vaporizing biomolecules, controlling molecular states, and performing measurements in order to elucidate the synchronized processes in real molecular systems through investigating ideal systems both experimentally and theoretically. We are focusing our attention on the following four subjects:

(2) Observation and elucidation of supra functional systems that connect the real and isolated systems.

(4) Development of new methods for controlling sates of supra functional systems in the isolated state and applications for the observation of sate-dependent phenomena.
